Our Story: Remembering Jason Howe

In January 2021, we lost an incredible brother, son, and friend, Jason Howe. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Jason knew he was a "guy's guy" through and through. He loved all things sports, thrived on good competition, and was always the first one to pull up a chair, crack a joke, and share a drink with the people he cared about.

When we thought about how to best keep his memory alive, a traditional, quiet memorial just didn’t fit the bill. We needed something that genuinely captured his vibrant spirit.

Why We Play

We created this annual golf tournament because it effortlessly brings together all of Jason’s absolute favorite things into one unforgettable day.

This tournament isn't just about playing 18 holes; it's about socializing, drinks, games, a little bit of gambling, and endless laughter with friends and family. We wanted to throw the exact kind of party Jason would have hated to miss.

What started as a way for our family to cope and remember him has incredibly grown to a roster of over 100 golfers each year. Seeing this event expand is a huge testament to the community, the love that surrounds his memory, and the lasting impact Jason left on all of us.

Driving Toward a Good Cause

While we play hard, we’re also playing for a meaningful purpose. Jason was incredibly proud of his education, having earned his MBA from the University of Denver.

To honor his hard work and his alma mater, all proceeds from the tournament are donated directly to the Jason Howe Endowed Scholarship Fund for the DU Daniels College of Business. Every swing, every friendly wager, and every drink raised helps support future business leaders, ensuring Jason’s legacy continues to positively impact lives for generations to come.
